The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
