The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
