The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
