Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
