And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
