Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 A guidance and mercy for the righteous 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 therein to dwell forever -- God's promise in truth; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those (whom you worship), besides Him have created. Nay, the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and those who do not believe in the Oneness of Allah) are in plain error. 11
