Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 And of mankind is one who purchaseth an idle discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and taketh it by way of mockery. These! for them shall be a torment ignominious. 6 And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement. 7 Verily, those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them are Gardens of delight (Paradise). 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars you can see, and He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and He scattered abroad in it all manner of crawling thing. And We sent down out of heaven water, and caused to grow in it of every generous kind. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
