۞ O men, it is you who stand in need of God. As for God, He is above all need, worthy of praise. 15 He could take you away if He pleased and bring a new creation (in your place). 16 nor is this difficult for God. 17 And a bearer of burthen will not bear another's burthen, and if one heavy-laden calleth for his load, naught thereof will be borne although he be of kin. Thou canst warn only those who fear their Lord, unseen, and establish prayer. And whosoever becometh clean becometh clean only for himself; and unto Allah is the return. 18 Equal are not the blind and those who can see, 19 nor are the depths of darkness and the light; 20 Nor is the shadow equal with the sun's full heat; 21 nor are the living and the dead alike. Allah makes to hear whomsoever He wishes, but you, (O Prophet), cannot cause to hear those who are in their graves. 22 Thou art no other than a warner. 23 Surely We have sent thee with the truth good tidings to bear, and warning; not a nation there is, but there has passed away in it a warner. 24 If they call you a liar, so had those before them called their apostles liars, who had come to them with clear proofs, scriptures and the splendent Book. 25 In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! 26
