۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He please, He will take you off and bring a new generation. 16 that is not difficult for God. 17 No burden-bearer shall bear another's burden, and if some over-laden soul should call out for someone else to carry his load, not the least portion of it will be borne for him, even though he were a near relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in the unseen, and pray regularly. Anyone who purifies himself will benefit greatly from doing so. To God all shall return. 18 The blind and the seeing are not alike; 19 the shadows and the light, 20 Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun's heat. 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 You are no more than a warner. 23 We have sent you with the Truth to proclaim good news and to warn. Never has there been a nation but a warner came to it. 24 If they cry thee lies, those before them also cried lies; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, the Psalms, the Illuminating Book; 25 so I seized the unbelievers and how terrible was their torment. 26
