And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 We made in it gardens of date-palms and vines, and We caused springs to gush forth 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in the dark; 37 The sun is running its course to its appointed place. That is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 That We bore their progeny in the laden ark is a sign for them; 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them, 'Expend of that God has provided you,' the unbelievers say to the believers, 'What, shall we feed such a one whom, if God willed, He would feed? You are only in manifest error!' 47 They also say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 48 They wait not for aught but a single cry which will overtake them while they yet contend with one another. 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
