Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 that they might eat of its fruits. It was not their hands that made them. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Purity is to Him Who created all pairs, from what the earth grows, and of themselves, and from the things they do not know. 36 And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride. 42 and [that,] if such be Our will, We may cause them to drown, with none to respond to their cry for help: and [then] they cannot be saved, 43 Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. 44 When it is said unto them: Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy (they are heedless). 45 And not a sign cometh unto them of the signs of their Lord, but they are ever backsliders therefrom. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 They also say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
