The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
