The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
