The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
