3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
