And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
