3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
