Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
