And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
