We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
