We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
