And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
