THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
