And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
