Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
