Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 By the Book that makes things clear, 2 We have made it an Arabic Quran so that you may understand. 3 And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom. 4 What! shall We then turn away the reminder from you altogether because you are an extravagant people? 5 And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples, 6 Yet never did a Prophet come to them but they mocked him. 7 so We destroyed men stronger in valour than they, and the example of the ancients passed away. 8 If thou askest them, 'Who created the heavens and earth?' they will say, 'The All-mighty, the All-knowing created them.' 9 Who has made the earth a cradle for you and made thereon paths for you so that, hopefully, you may find your way 10 And Who sent down water from the sky with a proper measure, so We revived a dead city with it; this is how you will be taken out. 11 And Who hath treated the pairs, all of them, and appointed for you from ships and cattle things whereon ye ride. 12 That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it. 13 surely unto our Lord we are turning.' 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
