And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
