We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 These people say, 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
