Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
The food of the Zakkum tree 43 is food for the sinner. 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 as the boiling of the hot water. 46 (It will be said) "Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire, 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 Taste thou! thou art indeed mighty, honoured! 49 This is that concerning which you were doubting.' 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 Amidst gardens and springs. 52 Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 There they shall not taste death, except the first death, and He will shield them from the punishment of Hell, 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 We have now made it easy on your tongue, in order that they remember. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
