Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HA MIM. 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 2 Behold, in the heavens as well as on earth there are indeed messages for all who [are willing to] believe. 3 And in your creation, and all the creatures He scatters in the earth – in them are signs for the people who are certain. 4 And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. 5 These are the revelations of Allah which We rehearse unto thee with truth: in what discourse then, after Allah and His revelations, will they believe? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 Hell is after them; and what they have earned will not benefit them at all, nor those whom they have chosen as supporters besides Allah; and for them is a terrible punishment. 10 This is guidance; and those who disbelieve in the signs of their Lord, there awaits them a painful chastisement of wrath. 11
