Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 and Ad, and Pharaoh, and Lot's brethren, 13 the men of the Thicket, the people of Tubba'. Every one cried lies to the Messengers, and My threat came true. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
