(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 so that they may understand me. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
