Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 “When we are dead and have turned to dust, will we be raised again? That return is impossible!” 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
