We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
