And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
