Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
