Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
