Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
