With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof. 47 And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 so ignore them, you are not to blame, 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I created the jinn and humans for nothing else but that they may serve Me; 56 I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 So verily unto those who do wrong there is a portion like unto the portion of their fellows; wherefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! 60
