The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the star when it descends, 1 your companion is not in error nor has he gone astray. 2 He does not speak out of his own desires. 3 This is only revelation communicated, 4 Taught to him by one intense in strength - 5 Dhu Mirrah (free from any defect in body and mind), Fastawa [then he (Jibrael - Gabriel) rose and became stable]. [Tafsir At-Tabari]. 6 being on the higher horizon. 7 Then the Spectacle became closer, and came down in full view. 8 until he was but two bow-lengths away, or even nearer. 9 so (Allah) revealed to His worshiper (Gabriel) that which he revealed (to Prophet Muhammad). 10 The (Prophet's) heart lied not (in seeing) what he (Muhammad SAW) saw. 11 So will you dispute with him over what he saw? 12 Indeed he saw him a second time, 13 At the farthest lote-tree; 14 near which is Paradise. 15 When there comes to the Lote Tree, that which comes 16 The sight did not shift, nor did it cross the limits. 17 He saw some of the greatest signs of his Lord. 18 Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza, 19 and your third idol al-Manat (whom you considered as God's daughters)? 20 Is the male for you and for Him the female? 21 That indeed is a division most unfair! 22 They are nothing but some names that you have coined, you and your forefathers – Allah has not sent any proof for them; they follow only guesses and their own desires; whereas the guidance from their Lord has come to them. 23 Can the human being have whatever he wishes? 24 To God belong the End and the Beginning. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
