Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
