(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
