Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
