The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
