The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 there is no denying its coming 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 and shade extended, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 chastely amorous, 37 for those on the Right, 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
