The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Abasing exalting. 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 facing one another. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virgins. 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
