O Companions of the Left! 41 Amidst scorching wind and scalding water. 42 And in the shades of Black Smoke: 43 Neither cool nor honorable. 44 They were endowed with good things 45 But persisted in that greater sin, 46 And they used to say: What! when we die and have become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times, 49 "All will surely be gathered together for appointed Meeting of a known Day. 50 Then verily ye, O ye erring, denying people. 51 will eat from the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 And will fill your bellies therewith; 53 Then drink over it of boiling water; 54 like a thirsty camel". 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 It is We Who created you, so why do you not accept the truth? 57 Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,- 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered 60 from changing the nature of your existence and bringing you into being [anew] in a manner [as yet] unknown to you. 61 You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect? 62 Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground. 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 If We so pleased, We could turn your harvest into chaff. Then you would start lamenting, 65 (Saying): "We are indeed Mughramun (i.e. ruined or lost the money without any profit, or punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation, etc.)! [See Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 17, Page 219] 66 nay; we have been undone!” 67 Have you considered the water you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower? 72 We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers, 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
