Nuh said: my Lord! verily they have disobeyed me and followed them whose riches and children have only increased them in loss. 21 "And they have plotted a mighty plot. 22 And said: 'Do not abandon your gods, and do not abandon Wadda or Suwa', or Yaghuth, Ya'uq or Nasr.' 23 They have led many astray; so lead the wrongdoers to further error." 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Nuh said: My Lord! leave not upon the land any dweller from among the unbelievers: 26 For surely if Thou leave them they will lead astray Thy servants, and will not beget any but immoral, ungrateful (children) 27 "O my Sustainer! Grant Thy forgiveness unto me and unto my parents, and unto everyone who enters my house as a believer, and unto all believing men and believing women [of later times]; and grant Thou that the doers of evil shall increasingly meet with destruction!" 28

True are the words of God the Almighty.
