Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say: 'It is revealed to me that a party of jinn listened then said: "We have indeed heard a wonderful Koran, 1 "which guides to the Right Way; so we have come to believe in it, and we will not associate aught with Our Lord in His Divinity”; 2 And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son, 3 'There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah; 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 But there were certain men of mankind who would take refuge with certain men of the jinn, and they increased them in vileness, 6 and that “they thought, even as you thought, that Allah would never raise anyone (as a Messenger)”; 7 We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames -- 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 we cannot tell if this bodes evil to those who dwell on earth or whether their Lord intends to guide them. 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 We know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice. 13 Some of us have come to submission, and some of us are iniquitous.'" Those who have submitted have taken the right course; 14 but those who have deviated shall become the fuel of Gehenna (Hell). 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him." 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death). 19
