28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 Which guides to the right path; and we have come to believe in it, and will not associate any one with our Lord. 2 and exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 The fool among us spoke against God outrage, 4 'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah. 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 And that they thought as you think, that Allah would not raise anyone: 7 ‘And we reached the sky, so we found it strongly guarded and filled with comets.’ 8 We sat in observatories to listen; but any one who listened found a shooting star in wait for him. 9 We do not know if this means ill for the dwellers of the earth, or their Lord wishes guidance for them. 10 And some of us are the righteous, and some of us are otherwise; we are sects differing. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 And as to the deviators, they are fuel of hell: 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment. 17 All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God. 18 And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death). 19

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
